"A tear contains an ocean. A photographer is aware of the tiny moments in a person's life that reveal greater truths." - 365 Project, Day 308

I've heard before (and seen in plenty of movies) that a good mechanic can tell a car by the way the engine sounds.  By the same token, I've heard that some people can tell the ingredients of a meal or drink just by tasting them.

However, can a good photographer tell what camera has been used to take a picture by the way it handles noise, or by the colours?  It's pretty universally accepted that Nikon SLRs have a more film-like look in the way they handle noise in lower-light situations than, say, Canon.  Can experts, then, know the difference between a Nikon D3s photo and a Canon 1D Mark IV photo?  Or D700 and 5D Mark II?  I should investigate.

These shots were taken by none of these cameras, and if you can tell what they were taken with without looking at the EXIF data, then I applaud you.

Her note: Morning sunrise.  Looks so cold.

Today is January 2nd, a day where a lot of vacations are finishing, and people have to go back to work.  This hasn't been the case for myself, but it's the reality of some people.

Tomorrow should be better.
